Karen Wagner is an actively licensed California attorney at law with experience assisting a Fortune 500 franchisor in post-merger divestiture of restaurants, assumption of service contracts and management of pension and profit sharing plans. She previously wrote service and employment contracts for Saga Corporation for two years. She has been practicing law since 1993 in business, contract, tax, employment, labor, real estate, landlord-tenant, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and international law.
Karen studied accounting and economics at San Francisco State University and graduated with a prelaw Bachelor of Arts degree. While studying at the University of San Francisco School of Law, Karen clerked with the University Counsel’s Office and was an extern at the California Supreme Court. She also edited articles on contracts law as the Articles Editor of the University of San Francisco School of Law Review. After graduation, Karen clerked at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California. She then wrote state tax guides for Commerce Clearing House before going into private practice.
Karen has volunteered with Marin Support Services for Elders, Marin Fair Housing and the Marin County Bar Association’s volunteer legal services programs. She has traveled extensively across America and through Europe and Asia for business and pleasure. In her free time, Karen is an avid baseball fan and enjoys skiing, hiking, and the arts.
