2022 Annual Meeting - Schedule
We all know that business brokerage is a “numbers game.” That is, we start with mass marketing, convert leads into a listing meeting, then to a listing, then to an offer, hopefully get through the Buyer’s due diligence, and if we are lucky, we close escrow on the transaction. But is it really “luck?” Each step along the way, some of our efforts bear no fruit, wasting the Business Broker’s precious time. Therefore, it is in the Client’s and our best interest to find ways that increase the chances of a business transaction closing and a smooth transition occurs following an orderly turnover plan.
Obviously, the "closing process" is something that occurs in all transactions, one that requires a skillful broker. This webinar: Importance of Closing and Orderly Turnover Processes, Business Broker’s Role, How It Can Be a Complex Process, Opening Escrow, Managing the Closing and Orderly Turnover Processes, and the Interrelationship of the Closing and Orderly Turnover Processes. A comprehensive Closing and Orderly Turnover Checklist and Typical Closing Documents will be discussed and provided By CABB.
Three experienced “deal friendly” legal counsel lead an interactive session covering a wide range of legal topics relating to California Business Brokers and their deals. Gain insights and perspectives, while also learning ways to avoid the ever-present potential land minds and challenges which often lie hidden in the transaction landscape. The attorneys will also discuss “war stories” to illustrate “do’s” and “don’ts” for a Broker as you work toward a successful closing. A major focus of the session will be the attorneys addressing your questions and concerns, so be sure to bring your tough questions for the chance to ask the attorneys!
The dilemma of Co-Brokerage vs. Dual Agency is never-ending. Which is better? Is either "better"? In this insightful presentation, Scott will look at the legal and ethical aspects of representing sellers, buyers, one, or both.
