As a highly effective M&A advisor and business broker with over thirty-three years of experience in advising and assisting business owners and buyers in the sale and acquisition of privately-held companies, Mr. Miesch has used that considerable experience, along with his graduate-level business education, and specialized knowledge in accounting and business valuation, to assist both sellers and buyers of businesses in successfully navigating the complexities of selling and acquiring businesses. His efforts on behalf of clients have resulted in facilitating those clients’ endeavors toward realizing their dreams, goals and aspirations. With a strong commitment to client service and professionalism, coupled with his history of involvement in hundreds of successful business acquisition transactions, Mr. Miesch has worked diligently with his clients and utilized his knowledge and experience to ensure that they received highly competent representation and achieved the best possible outcomes.
Mr. Miesch believes that the role of a business intermediary (M&A advisor or business broker) is far more extensive than just bringing buyers and sellers together. A successful business intermediary must coordinate the involvement and efforts of all of the parties to the transaction, as well as of those of the professional advisors. Much like a director in a theatrical production, who is responsible for coordinating all of the members of the cast, as well as stage crews and other workers, the competent business intermediary understands the appropriate roles of each of the parties and their professional advisors, in addition to how and when each of them needs to interact with one another to produce a successful sale of a business. More importantly, a competent business intermediary actively coordinates the activities of all of the parties to the transaction to achieve an optimal outcome. With thirty-one plus years of experience as a business intermediary, Mr. Miesch brings to the table extensive knowledge and experience regarding every aspect of the process of successfully bringing buyers and sellers together in win-win business acquisition transactions.
An accomplished business valuation consultant, Mr. Miesch has performed numerous business valuations for purposes including determining realistic acquisition prices, litigation related valuations, and valuations for tax purposes and submission to the Internal Revenue Service in relation to various tax-related matters. Businesses appraised ranged in revenues from $200,000 to $20,000,000 and spanned many different industries. Mr. Miesch has been a featured speaker on the subject of business appraisal and specialized business appraisal techniques to a number of professional organizations, including the Litigation Support Group of the East Bay Chapter of the American Association of Certified Public Accountants.
