Aaron Thom is an experienced entrepreneur who has created, built, and sold multiple businesses in Real Estate and Business Brokerage. Thom has been a part of over 300 transactions in a variety of industries including manufacturing, wholesale, technology, automotive, service, restaurant, and retail.
He began his career at Scottrade as a stockbroker, followed by a tenure working with high-net-worth individuals at Morgan Stanley. Thom moved into real estate by becoming a real estate broker, starting a property management company, and rehabbing properties. Thom sold this business in 2012 to another real estate brokerage in the Midwest.
Thom started Peak Development in 2013 to serve leading business brokerages with deal generation and marketing services. The Peak Formula delivers relationships with business owners who are ready to sell their businesses now or soon. By 2019, Peak had sourced almost $1,000,000,000 in deals for brokers across the US. Peak was sold to a Midwest-based private equity firm.
Thom received his MBA from St. Thomas University and his undergraduate degree in Economics and Management from Hamline University. Thom is a member of the IBBA, an international community of business brokers leading best practices. Thom has presented at the national IBBA conference on numerous occasions and has contributed to multiple webinars and courses still available within the IBBA training program: The Listings You Missed, There's a Hole in the Bucket!
