  1. CABB forms are created and updated by a panel of seasoned Business Brokers and Attorneys with years of transaction and litigation experience.
  2. CABB forms are time tested and well accepted in the California marketplace. Some of our forms have been in use since 1987! They are considered the industry standard by many.
  3. CABB forms are regularly reviewed and revised to reflect changes in the law and BRE regulations.
  4. CABB forms are continually revised to address recurrent issues in actual transactions, to incorporate member feedback, and to promote good business brokerage practices.
  5. Using CABB forms conveys a higher level of professionalism than using alternative forms.
  6. Licensed Brokers are granted certain rights, but practicing law is not one of them. Business Brokers should not be drafting legally binding agreements between third parties. Using a form is okay when the form is suitable for the intended use and circumstances.
  7. CABB forms are generally more neutral than agreements drafted by attorneys representing only one party in a transaction. As such, CABB forms typically meet less resistance from opposing parties.
  8. Considerable effort has gone into making CABB forms easy to understand and use and applicable to a range of transaction circumstances, while providing reasonable legal protections for the parties.
  9. Using familiar CABB forms in a co-brokered transaction is easier for you and the other Broker.
  10. Using a CABB form, versus your own form, may provide an added edge to prevail when litigation occurs, saving time and money.
